Brad Allan click for details
Brad Allen is non-executive Chairman of CarbonDesk.
Brad has been involved in various successful start-up equity derivatives broking operations. In Johannesburg in 1986 he joined National Futures & Options as a director. He was then recruited by Investec in 1994 to set up an international broking division, initially in Amsterdam and subsequently in London. In 2000 he joined Greenwich, a start up derivative broker, as a founding director. Brad then joined ICAP to build an emerging market equity derivative division and he currently holds the title of Head of Emerging Market Equity Derivatives.
A keen golfer, he was captain of his university golf club in South Africa and in 1984, the SA University team to Scotland He is a member of the RAC Golf Club in the UK, and Leopard Creek Golf Club in South Africa. -
Lord Anthony St John of Bletso click for details
Lord St John is a non-executive director of CarbonDesk.
A British peer, businessman and solicitor, he is a hereditary peer elected to the House of Lords. He speaks on African affairs, deregulation, financial services, climate change and information technology.
Anthony was managing director of Globix UK and president of Global Sales & Marketing for Globix Corporation. He was for many years a consultant to Merrill Lynch, and director of WMRC plc and Pecaso Ltd. From 2003 to 2009 he was also non-executive director of Regal Petroleum plc. Since 1989 he has been non-executive chairman of Estate and General, and since 2005 has been non-executive chairman of SpiriTel. Anthony is currently chairman of OCRA Worldwide and strategic advisor to 2e2 UK Ltd.
Anthony is an extra Lord-in-Waiting to The Queen and chairman of the Board of Trustees for Citizens Online. His special interests are clean technology and Africa, and as a trustee of nine charities mostly focused on Africa, he plays an active role in the charitable sector. He has recently taken the Chair of Alexandra Rose Charities. -

Brett Stacey click for details
Brett Stacey is the co-founder and Chief Executive officer of CarbonDesk Group, and currently the largest shareholder.
In South Africa Brett founded National Futures & Options and as Managing Director, was involved in product development and education for large institutional clients on the use and value of derivative instruments. The company was sold to Fleming Martin and he joined the board as director in charge of derivative trading responsible for the firm's broking and proprietary trading book. During this time he was appointed to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) committee that developed the rules for the warrant market in South Africa.
Brett was also Managing Director of Brait Securities responsible for establishing the equity and derivative broking operations, institutional sales, futures and options broking and liaison with the corporate finance division in respect of listings, mergers and acquisitions and all JSE related matters. He was also involved in the founding of the futures exchange in South Africa and served on the board of the South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX) for a number of years including latterly as Deputy Chairman.
A keen golfer, he has been Club Captain and is a member of a number of golf clubs inclucing Leopard Creek Golf Club in South Africa and Coombe Hill in the UK. -
Peter Holmes click for details
Peter Holmes is Financial Director of CarbonDesk.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Peter has gained extensive experience as an accountant in a range of industries including furniture manufacturing, building contracting, house building, telecoms, healthcare software and public relations. He has been actively involved in a number of acquisitive public companies in the capacity of finance director and currently holds two public company directorships, IMS Maxims Plc and Synigence Plc, together with various private company directorships, both in executive and non-executive functions. -
Daniel Edelman click for details
Daniel Edelman is co-founder of Carbondesk and director responsbile for New Business Development.
Dan started his career in the City with Cazenove & Co. on the floor of the London Stock Exchange. When deregulation allowed it he was one of the four-man team who set up Cazenove's market making desk where he remained until he left the firm. He also developed the in-house trading platform which went on to become fidessa, the UKs leading equity trading platform. Besides running a risk book covering breweries, builders, properties in FTSE 250 companies and others he initiated the coverage of markets in the arbitrage of Midland Bank and HSBC in London during their merger as well as executing the hedging strategies for the firm. He left tostart up a new equity market making desk at Durlacher. In his time there he chaired the operational management team as well as being the head of global risk. Since 2004 Daniel has been involved in a number of capital fund raisings both on and off the regulated exchanges.
